Know what each resource is

Documentation checked · October 12, 2026. These entries have not been installed or benchmarked by this site. The upstream main branch may describe features newer than your installed release.

PhotoCraft filter plug-ins use sandboxed WebAssembly modules. A community bridge is a separate integration, not necessarily a filter you can install inside PhotoCraft.

The resource directory

Official · WebAssembly filter API

The documented ABI v1 supports filter modules in .wasm format. Installed filters appear under Filter → Plug-ins. Read the official installation and API reference ↗.

Official example · Invert

A small Rust source example for developers learning the plug-in contract. It requires a build step; this is not a hosted, one-click plug-in download. View example source ↗

Community · ComfyUI–PhotoCraft Bridge

ComfyUI nodes read an image and selection, then return the result as a new layer through the control channel. It needs ComfyUI and a configured PhotoCraft desktop process. Read the bridge guide →

Install a compatible filter

  1. Check the author, supported PhotoCraft version, license and whether a compiled .wasm file is supplied.
  2. Open a small duplicate image and select a pixel layer.
  3. In a build that exposes the documented menu, choose Filter → Plug-ins → Install Plug-in… and select the module.
  4. Run the installed filter, inspect its result and confirm Undo works.

The official preference path is Edit → Preferences → Plug-ins. Desktop builds can load an additional plug-ins folder; the web build installs from bytes. If the menu is absent, compare your release with the documentation rather than renaming a Photoshop plug-in.

What this API does not provide

ABI v1 does not provide panel/UI plug-ins, access to other documents or plug-in-defined file formats. Its sandbox has no file-system or network imports. Native Photoshop .8BF, CEP and UXP extensions are not supported by this host.

For an automation or AI integration, start with the control channel or MCP documentation instead of trying to turn a network client into a filter. Read the Photoshop plug-in compatibility guide →
