Two official entry points
The ArtCraft product page is a convenient starting point. GitHub Releases provides individual packages, release notes and checksums. This hub links to those sources; it does not distribute repackaged installers.
Find the right release asset
- Open the official repository and select Releases.
- Read the release notes, then expand Assets if the file list is collapsed.
- Match both your operating system and CPU architecture. A filename containing “cli” is for command-line use, not the normal desktop app.
- Download the selected file and, if provided, SHA256SUMS.txt from that same release.
The automatically generated “Source code” archives contain source, not a ready-to-install desktop application.
Check the file before installing
Compare the downloaded file’s SHA-256 hash with the entry for the exact filename in SHA256SUMS.txt. Matching hashes help confirm file integrity; they do not by themselves prove that software is free of defects. If a release claims a digital signature, inspect the file’s signature or system assessment rather than assuming every build is signed.
Check the release notes for platform requirements. Version labels on third-party pages can lag behind upstream.
